GS aims for Level III status

The Graduate School is now on the go for the second survey for the two doctoral programs: the Doctor of Education in Extension Education (Ed.D.- Extn. Ed.) and Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences (Ph.D.-Agri Sciences), and third survey for level three of two master’s degree programs: Master of Arts in Educational Management (MA- Ed Mgt) and Master of Science in Agriculture (MS Agriculture). The survey visit commences today, August 9, 2011 and will end on August 12, 2011.

Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) sent the following distinguished individuals to evaluate the following programs: Doctoral -Ed.D.-Ext.Ed., Dr. Nenita I. Prado, Team Leader (CMU), Dr. Cornelia T. Partosa (Bukidnon SU), Dr. Lilia Z. Boyles, Caraga SU, Dr. Ruth S. Lucero, (SPAMAST), Dr. Rhodora SN. Englis, (MSU-IIT) and Prof. Fe A. Alavanza (Lib), (JRMSU) and Ph.D in Agri Sciences, Dr. Constancio M. Verula, Jr., Team Leader (CMU), Dr. Manuel B. Barquilla (MSU-IIT), Dr. Lilia Z. Boyles, Caraga SU, Dr. Ruth S. Lucero, (SPAMAST), Dr. Rhodora SN. Englis, (MSU-IIT) and Prof. Fe A. Alavanza (Lib), (JRMSU). MA-Ed Mgt., Dr. Felicidad R. del Socorro, Team Leader, (MSU-IIT ) and the members are Dr. Josefina Tabudlong, (MSU-IIT), Dr. Lilia Z. Boyles, Caraga SU, Dr. Ruth S. Lucero, (SPAMAST), Dr. Rhodora SN. Englis, (MSU-IIT) and Prof. Fe A. Alavanza (Lib), (JRMSU). MS-Agriculture, Dr. Carolina D. Amper, Team Leader (CMU), Dr. Allan P. Dargantes (CMU), Dr. Lilia Z. Boyles, Caraga SU, Dr. Ruth S. Lucero, SPAMAST, Dr. Rhodora SN. Englis, MSU-IIT and Prof. Fe A. Alavanza (Lib), JRMSU.

The three-day formal visit aims to evaluate the compliance made by the graduate school in the different areas of the mentioned program offerings as suggested and recommended by the previous accrediting team. GS extension reaches Davao

Keeping the flame of quality education and community service alive, the USM Graduate School recently held its extension service in Esperanza Day Care Center in Pueblo Antonio Village, Catigan, Toril, Davao City.

Dean Joy Gloria P. Sabutan, together with Dr. Jacinta T. Pueyo, the extension coordinator, and some graduate students, delivered to the school reading materials, office and school supplies, and a set of seesaw for the pupils on August 4, 2011.

The new GSG officers, meanwhile, are coming up with plans and projects in support of the extension program of the unit for the current school year.
