(31 October 2007, Midsayap, Cotabato) – The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Land Conflict in Cotabato Province gained another breakthrough with the peaceful resolution of a decades-old land conflict in this soon-to-be a city municipality.

Regional Executive Director Jim O. Sampulna of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Region XII and Chairman of the IATF bared that the three contending parties claiming ownership over a 14-hectare land in Barangay Mudseng here came together yesterday (October 30) and signed a collective agreement in the presence of the members of the IATF.

CARRDEC officials led by Consortium Director, Dr. Hersie C. Nicor and RRDB representative Dr. Rolando F. Hechanova welcomed the RRDCC Chairpersons and Consortium directors as they converged at a joint meeting in General Santos City, the tuna capital of the Philippines.
